Additionally, we offer study, fellowship, and social gatherings that meet throughout the week to nurture our faith, deepen our relationships, enjoy each others' company, and encourage us to serve others in the church and community.
Our Friday Night on College program for the community and homeless favors preparing and sharing food much like a family meal, imparting a warmth and friendliness to the dinner guests.
Our worship service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning with a pre-worship centering prayer beginning at 10:15 a.m. Worship consists of songs (both contemporary and traditional) and Biblically based messages. We are an active community church that welcomes diversity, respecting each individual and their contribution to the worship celebration. We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Childcare is provided. The teaching pastor is Rev. Monte McClain.

Friday Night on College
The Friday Night on College program began as a vision for CAPC to reach out to the immediate neighborhood offering a home style meal, worship, and other electives. What began in 1997 serving 35 dinners today serves well over 100 meals every Friday. Led by four cooking teams with set recipes for each team, the meal has offered the church and the wider community opportunities to volunteer to cook and share a meal in true community fashion. For information on the Friday Night on College program or to donate toward its expenses, call (510) 658-3665 during office hours or email us.
